... Hiking...
Bischweier is located in the middle of the largest orchard region in Europe. From the apartment you can be in the countryside in all directions in about 10 minutes and can go on lovely walks or hikes. Our favorite: a hike around the Eichelberg. It takes about 3 hours and the best is that once you get to the mountain you hardly meet anyone.
... Spa ...
If you love thermal baths and saunas, Rotherma is the right place for you to go. It is only 5 minutes away from us by car, 10 minutes by bike or 20 minutes on foot and offers a wonderful sauna area. Wednesday is ladies' day!
Even more famous is of course the Friedrichsbad in Baden-Baden. The old Roman-Irish bath is really worth a visit. You walk through 17 different stations with warmth, heat - and various pools with thermal water that comes warm from the earth. Special hint: you don´t bring towels or soap, everything you need will be given to you. We have never seen anything like it before!
... City trips...
From Bischweier you can easily reach some cities worth seeing:
The A5 junction is only 5 minutes away from us.
We are also well connected to local transport. The local train station is a 10-minute walk away, from there you can reach Karlsruhe in around 30 minutes. It runs 1-2 times an hour, depending on
the time of day.
... Dining ...
The people of Baden are known for good food!

... Black Forest National Park ...
If you want to know more about the Black Forest, about its history, nature, and people, then the Ruhestein National Park Center is the right place for you. You can visit the interactive exhibition, admire the unusual architecture of the
building, enjoy some food in the café, and start beautiful hikes from here.
Our favorite hike leads to the Wildsee
... the Wildsee at Ruhestein ...
You should be a good walker if you hike to the Wildsee.
You can start at the National Park Center. A rustic path over rocks, sticks and stones, past ancient trees, leads you down into the small valley where the idyllic lake lies. Here you can often
enjoy nature all to yourself.
